As I write my blog I focus more on the online home based business. What I mean by that is that my original concept for the blog was broader when I first began writing it. My intention was to focus on general issues that relate to small and home based businesses. But as my own business has evolved, my focus has narrowed to a smaller niche, online home based business.
What I have found myself focusing on as my business has been internet marketing. More specifically I am involved in blogging, affiliate marketing and network marketing. All areas perfectly suited for the online home based business. It is a more narrow focus than I had first intended, but it is also quite broad a market in its own right.
There are tens of millions of people involved in network marketing alone, and many of them are struggling. While the concept of affiliate marketing is fairly basic, success does not necessarily come easy. Blogging has a relatively low start-up cost, but it takes time to develop a following and to monetize a blog.
This focus on the online home based business is in fact quite broad. Success requires a specific skill set and there is an abundance of information that needs to be absorbed. There are thousands of options for products to sell as an affiliate and there are hundreds of network marketing companies to choose from. Developing the skills necessary to be successful at either require time and knowledge But nothing in my life has been as rewarding as developing an ?online home based business?.
There are many success stories in the fields of blogging, internet marketing, affiliate marketing and network marketing. Many leaders share information on a daily basis through free blogs. There are hundreds of affiliate products providing information on how to be successful in an online home based business. There is also a lot of free information available on the internet. There are network marketing companies whose focus is on training you to be successful as an internet marketer.
While still relatively young, the internet marketing industry continues to expand rapidly and new techniques and skill sets are being developed all the time. Those who are successful are committed to continuing to educate themselves. There is no end to the process of personal and professional development in an online home based business.
And there are so many specific areas of knowledge that need to be mastered to develop a full skill set in internet marketing.

They also present me with a wide range of topics to focus on in this blog. Narrowing the scope of this blog and website is certainly not going to lead to me running out of ideas to write about.
But I am motivated by a number of things. I want to be successful in my online home based business for the personal satisfaction I will get. I want to achieve financial freedom for myself and my family. I want to live the internet lifestyle and have control over my life. And I what to help others achieve their own personal goals through their own online home based business.
